The Institute of Urban Transport (India) was established in May, 1997 under the purview of the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, as a professional, non-profit organization. Its objective is to promote, encourage and coordinate urban transport in the context of planning, development, operation, education, research and management. Towards this end, it organises lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences, including the Annual ‘Urban Mobility India Conference & Expo’, India’s flagship event on urban transport. |
